I don’t remember the first time I had a slice of white forest cake. Maybe because it was a long time back and if feels like I have been eating them all my life. This amazingly stunning and yummily delicious cake is always a yes yes to all. The delicate flavor is simply mouth watering. The creaminess adds the extra loveliness to this cake. I have used my basic sponge cake, the recipe you can find here.
For the frosting :
4 cups whipping cream
4tbsp icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 cup strawberries, sliced
Strawberries or cherries, for garnish
White chocolate shavings, for garnish
For syrup :
1/2 cup hot water
2 tbsp sugar
Prepare the cake using the recipe here.
Prepare the frosting by using whipped cream as per the instructions on the packet. I have used the DreamWhip whipping cream here. Add the icing sugar and vanilla essence.
Slice each cake in half. Place the bottom layer of cake on the plate. Drizzle a generous amount of sugar syrup. Spread a layer of whipped cream.
Next comes a layer of chopped strawberries. Place the next cake layer on top. Spread whipped cream on the top and the sides so that the cake is completely covered. Garnish the top with strawberries or cherries and white chocolate shavings.
