Bread is one of the most important staples in any home. It can be served for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I prefer it for breakfast more along with scrambled or poached eggs. This is super simple to make and tastes great. Trust me, you will never want to buy bread from the store again!
1 package active dry yeast (1/4 ounce)
2 1/4 cups warm water
3 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp salt
2 tbsp oil
6 1/2 cups all purpose flour
In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar, salt, oil and half of the flour. Beat until smooth.
Add remaining flour half cup at a time and mix to form a soft dough.
On a floured surface, knead the dough till smooth and elastic.
Place in a greased bowl. Cover and let it rise for about 2 hours till it doubles in size.
Punch dough down. Divide into two. Shape into a loaf and place in two loaf pans. Cover and let it rise for about 45 minutes till doubled.
Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown. Let it cool.
