Whipped cream is perfect on pies and desserts. They are easy to make and taste heavenly. Any dessert can be made perfect with the addition of whipped cream. I love the smooth and soft texture of whipped cream that gives it’s amazingly wonderful feel. Although it may seem quite easy to make, some tips should be kept in mind.
Always use whipping cream or heavy cream to make whipped cream. This is because of it’s high fat content.
Always use it cold. Keep in the refrigerator. It is a good idea to refrigerate the bowl and whisk also before whipping.
Don’t over whip. You will end up with butter.
1 cup whipping cream
1 tsp vanilla essence
Take cream in a bowl. Add the vanilla essence. You can use any other flavoring as you like.
Now whip the cream at a medium speed until it turns frothy.
After some time, you will start to see trails in the cream that doesn’t dissolve when you move the whip. Continue whipping till you reach the soft peak stage. When you lift the whisk the peaks fall out.
Continuing to whisk further will result in hard peak stage. Here the cream will be stiff and only the tips will be soft. Continue to whip it further for harder tips as well. Whipping beyond this stage will result in butter.
