Day 74 : How to clean tile grout

Few days back, I made a visit to one of my cousins house. She had shifted to a new place and I was mesmerized by the tiles in their new home. So immaculately clean. Clean and clear lines in between the tiles. So milky white, they made me to run home and check mine. And seriously , mine were so messy. I mean, I don’t remember actually cleaning those grout lines ever. Okay, I sweep and mop everyday and follow my cleaning routine of 30 minutes but I had never really sat down to clean these lines of dirt. Since I am a big fan of baking soda, ( after my experience in cleaning pans and window tracks), I got down to work with this amazing substance.

All I needed was baking soda, vinegar and hot water.

If you have grout lines as mine, i’l tell you how to get it cleaned without the fuss.

Sprinkle baking soda on those nasty lines.

Mix 1 part water with 2 parts vinegar. And pour along those lines. Wait for 15 minutes.

Now using an old toothbrush, brush those grout lines.
That’s all.

My tiles are now pretty neat.

I’m off to work over the tiles in my entire home!
