Day 56 – How to get rid of oily stains from clothes

Standing in the kitchen, preparing your favorite dish, you got a little too excited, your hands bumped into a bottle and uff! You have oil on your clothes! You are at the front of your car doing some repair works and then you notice a streak of grease on your shirt. All these humane stuff happens with us humans. Although these stains are tough to fight with, there is sure some victory along your way. These simple diy tips will help you tackle those stubborn oily stains and leave your clothes as good as new.


Step 1: Sprinkle cornstarch over the stain. The entire area of the stain should be completely covered. Leave for 15 minutes. This acts as an absorbent to remove the oil.

Step 2. Remove the cornstarch. Apply a mixture of dish washing liquid and laundry detergent. Gently brush the area with stain both inside and outside for about 5 minutes.

Step 3: Wash with hot water. Repeat the steps if some amount of oil still remains.

Step 4: Wash it in the machine. Air dry it.
