100 days of Homemaking Skills Series: Day 9 – How to fold bedsheets in style (2 ways)

Opening your cabinet to a neat arrangement of bedsheets is one of the most satisfying feeling. And finding both the pillowcases without one of them being misplaced is another happy feeling. I used to just fold up the sheets and stack them in the cupboard with the pillow covers on top of it. And the next time I pull out a bedsheet, one cover would drop out. Since I can’t stuff it back in between, I would stuff it on the top. And then you know, how the mess starts. Does it happen with you?! Some days back, I came across these beautiful ways of keeping them. You know, everything requires a bit of style. Now I love folding up bedsheets ( when earlier I dreaded them) and keeping them in neatly arranged rows. Wait, don’t think it’s complicated. It’s easy and requires no time at all.

Style 1: Gift Style

Fold the bedsheet as you normally do ( folding corner to corner). (Steps 1 and 2)
Place one pillowcover in between and fold. (Step 3)
Take the other pillow cover and fold it thrice over the length. And wrap around the bedsheet. (Step 4) Cute little gift, right?!

Style 2: Wrap Style

Fold the bedsheet as you normally would.( Steps 1,2 and 3)
Place one pillowcover in between and fold. (Steps 4 and 5)
Now place this inside the other pillowcover. (Step6) And fold the excess. Looks all wrapped up.
