100 days of Homemaking Skills Series: Day 2 – Folding a Fitted Sheet – an easy way!

As soon as the laundry is done, the only thing that frets me out is folding the fitted bedding sheets. With the elastic and stuffs, it gets very difficult to make even folds. I always end up folding it in a haphazard fashion. So when I came across this little trick, I was more than happy to try it out. Now I no longer have disorganized folded sheets in my cabinet.

Although the trick is a little too simple, yet it proves to be a saver when it comes to organization. Well, who wouldn’t want to try this out?!

1. Lay your sheet lengthwise ( wrong side facing up). Now fold in half tucking the edges into each other. Your sheet should look like this ( I am using a single bed fitted sheet for demonstration so don’t be surprised with its size)

2. Fold it again in half tucking the edges in as you fold.

3. When you reach this stage, the folding gets easier. Make 3 folds just as you do for a normal bedsheet.

4. Three folds again. And yay!! Look at how neatly they can be folded. 😉

    1. This is Patty I’m sorry, that’s my text above. The one with the strange name. Lubna, I’m sorry for my auto correct on my tablet in spelling your name. I should have double checked the spelling. I look forward to learning new things. I truly thank you.

      1. That’s ok, autocorrect sometimes messes things up! Crafting will help you explore a new side of you. I hope you have fun with it and get well soon!

  2. LOL thanks Linda, I look forward to learning a craft or two or maybe 3 🙂 I have 4 children who are all 4 grown, my husband works long hours and comes home to watch baseball. Im alone with no one to talk to or do anything with. All the people I know are in-laws and we have never really gotten along. I could get up holding my chest with indigestion and holding my hand on my chest he never ask if I’m ok. Not even that first time 😦 i suffer from manic depression…..sorry I got carried away.
Anyway I figured if I learn crafting I would find something to enjoy and to keep me busy.
