Falooda is one of my most favorite drink. Well, who can’t fall in love with Falooda. I’m sure anyone who has ever tasted it would be a big big fan of it. Whenever this delicious drink is made at home, everyone comes back for a second helping. And then the jug is empty, so no one can have another helping. Made in full cream milk with delicacies of china grass ( agar agar ) and nuts, topped with your favorite ice cream! Yummm !!
This can be made in various flavors like rose, mango etc. I have made it in pistachio flavor. Lately, I have become a pistachio fan. 😉
1 liter full cream milk
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup vermicelli
1/4 cup chia seeds
100 g China grass ( agar agar)
Red, green and yellow food color
1 tsp pistachio essence
500 ml pistachio ice cream
1/2 cup chopped almonds
1/2 cup chopped pistachios
Soak chia seeds in 1 glass of water and keep aside.
Soak China grass in 1 1/2 cups water and leave for 30 minutes.
Take 1liter milk in a pan. Add sugar and bring it to a boil. Add pistachio essence. Add vermicelli and let it cook. When the Vermicelli has been cooked, remove from stove and let it cool. When it is completely cooled, refrigerate to chill.
Now take the China grass and bring to a boil. Continue to boil until it is completely dissolved. Set it in different plates with a drop of each food color. Once it is set, cut into small pieces. Add it to the Falooda.
Add the chia seeds into the Falooda.
Now take a glass. Add 1tbsp chopped almonds and pistachios at the bottom of the glass. Pour in the Falooda up to 3/4th of the glass. Top with an ice cream scoop. Garnish with some more nuts.
Sit back and enjoy your yummy Falooda.
